The new thermal switch seems to work fine. The old one would not work at all unless I jumpered-it out. It seems , though, that the switch doesn't allow the humidifier to kick in until the furnace has been running for quite some time. This doesn't allow much time for the humidifier to run before the furnace shuts down. Wouldn't it be more effective if the humidifier operated as soon as the blower started? It feels like the air in the house is still always dry, and I have the humidistat up all the way.
